Can't connect / stuck at "Authenticating"

• Check your realmlist.wtf — open it in Notepad and confirm it matches the realmlist on the main site
• Restart your router (clears stale DNS)
• Try connecting from a different network (mobile hotspot) to rule out ISP/firewall issues
• Disable any VPN — many WoW clients route badly through commercial VPNs

Game client crashes on launch

• Run wow.exe as Administrator
• Delete the Cache, WTF, and Interface folders, then relaunch (your settings will reset; addons need re-installing)
• Make sure you're using the correct WotLK Classic 3.4.4 client build

Login screen is black or shows the wrong realm

• Stop the game, delete the Cache/ folder, relaunch
• Confirm your realmlist (see above)

"Disconnected from server" mid-game

• Likely your connection, not the server — check the Server Status thread in Announcements
• Try a wired connection if you're on Wi-Fi

Account / login issues

• Use the password reset flow on the main site before opening a ticket
• Account suspensions are handled by ticket, not in this section — submit through the support page
