One Week After Launch — A Message From the WarCrown Team
Heroes,
It has now been about one week since WarCrown launched, and we wanted to take a moment to speak openly about the current state of the project and the road ahead.
Launch week was not perfect.
We experienced crashes, disconnects, rollbacks, gameplay bugs and technical issues that affected player experience. We understand the frustration these problems caused and we take those concerns seriously.
At the same time, the past week has been one of nonstop work behind the scenes.
Since launch, our team has been continuously investigating and resolving stability problems, fixing gameplay and quest issues, improving infrastructure and monitoring server performance around the clock. The server today is already significantly more stable and improved compared to the first days after release, although we know there is still work ahead.
We also want to be transparent about something important.
WarCrown is not a short-term hype project and was never intended to be one.
Our decision to build around the 3.4.4 client was deliberate. We believe modern-client Wrath offers enormous long-term potential that remains largely unexplored in the private server scene. Improved API capabilities, addon possibilities, controller support and modern systems open doors that traditional environments simply cannot provide.
Innovation, however, comes with challenges.
Large-scale launches reveal edge cases and infrastructure pressure that smaller testing environments cannot fully reproduce. Launch week taught us many lessons, and we are actively applying those lessons to improve both development and quality assurance moving forward.
We also want to recognize the role of the community.
MMOs are not built by developers alone. Healthy projects grow through players, guilds, PvP communities, content creators, bug reporters and people willing to contribute constructively to the ecosystem around them.
Many of the fixes and improvements already deployed came directly from player reports and feedback, and we are grateful for that support.
Looking ahead, our focus remains clear:
• Continued stability and performance improvements
• Quest, gameplay and progression bug fixing
• Better QA and testing pipelines
• Ongoing system and feature development
• Long-term growth of the WarCrown ecosystem
To everyone who stayed with us through launch week, helped test, submitted reports or simply gave the project an honest chance — thank you.
We are here, we are listening and we are continuing forward.
