There is no need to create a new Death Knight. Once the issue is fixed, all the changes will be visible (as they say, "on the face").
As for the phases, we are not just applying a temporary band-aid. Instead, we are releasing full-fledged fixes that should restore everything to the way it was originally intended.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up and share the exact steps that worked for you - that's really helpful.
Unfortunately, we can't force phases on the server. Phases are tied to quest completion and progression state, and manually pushing them often breaks other things in the zone or for other players. Your detailed report (especially the workaround with the rider/horse and the exact point where the phase gets stuck) gives us good info to look into why the phase transition after "Victory At Death's Breach!" isn't triggering properly for you. We'll check it out.

We are currently working on a major update aimed at fixing a large amount of content, including the Death Knight starting zone. This means we are already actively addressing the issue, and the problems with the DK location will be fully resolved very soon.

An update by itself does not necessarily mean that it will include fixes for in-game content, although that is still possible - as was the case with the Guild Bank fix that was included in one of the recent updates.
The latest updates have mainly focused on improving the serverโ€™s infrastructure, stability, and performance. While there may have been very few content-related changes, this does not mean we are not working on content issues or are unaware of the problems that exist.
The order of our updates is determined by priority. As you know, it is impossible to grow a tree without first watering it.

Content will be gradually expanded according to our roadmap. All Burning Crusade content and the beginning of Wrath of the Lich King (5-man Normal dungeons) will become available very soon.

The error occurs because the installer cannot run one of its temporary files due to access being denied.

Main Reasons:
- Antivirus / Windows Defender (Most common cause)
- Security software blocks execution of files from the temporary folder (%TEMP%). This is a common false positive with installers.
- Insufficient permissions on the Temp folder
- The current user does not have full rights to read/execute files in the Windows temporary directory.
- Problems with TMP/TEMP environment variables
- The temporary folder path is set to a restricted or non-existent location.
- Running without Administrator rights
- The installer needs elevated privileges but was not launched as Administrator.
- Corrupted or damaged installer file
- The setup file itself is incomplete or got corrupted during download.
- Windows User Account Control (UAC) or folder protection
- Strict system policies or protected folders preventing execution from Temp.
- Conflict with other security tools
- Sandboxing software, application control, or endpoint protection solutions.

Recommendation:
Please check that your Windows system does not have any of the problems listed above. Temporarily disable your antivirus, run the installer as Administrator (right-click > Run as administrator), and try again. Restarting your computer before retrying can also help.

If the error still appears after checking these points, please reply with the following information:
- Your version of Windows
- Which antivirus software you are using
- Did you uninstall your previous launcher version with your Windows built-in uninstaller?

Dear players,

If your launcher version is 1.4.6 or less, we strongly recommend that you manually download and reinstall the latest version from our official website.
Players using version 1.4.6 or less may stop receiving automatic updates for both the game and the launcher itself.

If your launcher version is higher or equals 1.4.7, then no action is required from you.

To avoid any issues, please check your launcher version and update manually if necessary.

This is a side effect of restoring the Guild Bank functionality. Letโ€™s call it a โ€œsmallโ€ bonus for those who lost their items two or three times due to previous Guild Bank issues.
